Ready to leave for the People's Hospital of Yangjiang, Li Tingting arrived at the railway station on August 24, confused at the unusual chaos in front of the ticket gate. In the crowd, a staff of the railway station was asking if there was a doctor. It drew her attention to the the old lying on the ground, with cellphones and pills scattered. Racing ahead, Li quickly lay down and checked the individual's pulse and breath.

The pediatric care provider assisting Li Tingting was a girl in her twenties, who was about to head to Taishan. Having confirmed no impulse in the elderly, they cooperated to do cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for the passenger.

However, there was no airbag on the spot so they had to perform artificial respiration for the elderly. Li Tingting immediately lowered her head and pinched the passenger's nose closed, offering the individual artificial respiration. Later, they found that the passenger seemed to regain spontaneous breathing. Nonetheless, it only lasted for moments. They had to continue with CPR.

After 5 minutes, the staff brought the automated external defibrillator (AED). Li Tingting set up the AED and used it for defibrillation, followed by CPR for the passenger.

When checking the passenger's pupils, Li noticed an injury on the individual’s head. She asked the people around for some alcohol pads and then disinfected the wound. The elderly's breathing and heart rate recovered well when the ambulance arrived.

Li suggests that the old people, especially those with diseases, should avoid going out alone. She mentioned that this person she rescued was born in 1947, and although the patient brought medication, it was still difficult to prevent an accident when going out alone. Luckily, the passenger has been rescued in time.
